  2.                             File to describe usage of DISCON.BAT and DISCOFF.BAT.
  3.  
  4.   BUSONOFF.BAT is a batch file used to set the bus on and bus off time
  5.   of the AHA-1540/1540A/1542A/1540B/1542B/1640 (standard mode only).  
  6.   DOS DEBUG is required, and must be in the same    <path> as BUSONOFF.BAT.
  7.   In addition, the data file BUSONOFF must also be in the same <path>
  8.   as the .BAT program.

  10.         The bus on/off parameter is the amount of time the host adapter uses to
  11.   take control of the AT bus to do direct memory access (DMA) data transfers.
  12.   If this time is too large, it may keep tape drives from streaming, thus
  13.   increasing the time to do backups.  The default bus on time is 11 micro-
  14.   seconds, and the default bus off time is 4 microseconds.  DISONOFF.BAT
  15.   will change these values to bus on time=4 microseconds and bus off time=
  16.   12 microseconds.  Performance under DOS should not be affected, but the
  17.   tape drive will be allowed to stream.
